About this treatment
What are check-ups & exams?
Regular dental check-ups let our dentists spot and treat problems early — from decay to gum disease and oral-health concerns. Most adults are seen every 6–12 months.

Check-ups & Exams at our practice
A routine check-up is the simplest way to keep on top of your dental health — and to catch small problems while they’re still small and inexpensive to sort out. At your appointment we’ll look over your teeth, gums and soft tissues, take X-rays if they’re needed, and talk you through anything worth keeping an eye on. It’s all covered under NHS Band 1 (£27.90), including a scale and polish where appropriate.
How often you’re seen depends on your own dental health — many adults come every six to twelve months, while others benefit from more regular visits. Being on Abbeydale Road, we’re an easy stop for families across Highfield, Nether Edge and the wider south Sheffield area to keep up with.
We’re registering new NHS patients now — call 0114 255 4433 to book your first check-up.
